Lost access to Govt maps with latest update. App is useless now.

When youre in a new area, this makes it easy to find your location. So much cheaper than the card for a GPS!!

The iPhone version is superb for ocean Kayakers. App shows tide & current info; invaluable for those of us paddling at 2 or 3 knots. Get the app then purchase the Navionics map subscription - you wil not regret it! And pick up a cheap battery pack on eBay so u dont drain the iPhone battery before your body poops out.

Don not buy this app!!! Lost all my updated Sonar Charts instantly. 2 years work at huge cost in fuel, hours,time and navionics! All gone. I believed this app would make life simple. All I purchased was a disaster!

I use this app for ice fishing. I find that sometimes the contours and depths are spot on, and other times it completely misses, even within the same lake. I do find that if I find a good fishing spot, and I place a marker in the app, I can get right back to that spot in the future. I have the app for iPhone and my friend has it on droid, and I can zoom in more than him, so it seems to have an advantage on the iPhone.
