Dear Sir: Despite all the eletronic gear that the boat I was sailing down the English Channel has, I had bought this app "just in case" to get away of "Murphy´s Law"... And just happens to show how easy and efficient it was when in the entrance of Lisbon we was caught in a mist and the others 2 GPS´s has fail to show the entrance of the marina we whant to go. Now I have in my pocket all the charts I need in all times! Despite the warnings, I trust in this app maps anyway! And now, when I need support, a very qualified team shows up and quickly we solve the problem, like a 24/7 team, with tutorials and very clear instructions. Thanks guys of Navionics! You rules! I think being able to display your travel speed in landscape mode on the iphone would be an asset.

I was skeptical to buy but took the chance after questions answered quickly by the company. I was worried it covered lake simcoe, Ontario and the Trent Severn. App is great. maps are extensive can be downloaded prior to going out and used with out Internet access. Gps is accurate as well as direction and speed travelled. Depths are bang on and matched my onboard depth finder. Well worth the purchase. It is the same price as one paper chart but contains all the charts I could ever want and tracks my position for me. I dont usually write reviews but I wish someone had when I was considering this purchase. It would have helped me so I thought I would help anyone considering buying this app.

Its a great app however they should make one for snowmobiling

This is a great app. Love it. It was very good before you put cruise up. But now its just that much better. Thanks for the cruise up

For the price this is a great app and well worth the 10 bucks. Only downside is it drains your battery pretty quick so make sure you have a way to charge your phone.

Some bad moments

I downloaded the trial version as suggested by Navionics. Well the trial version seems to hang up or freeze. So if they expect me to buy the paid version this app is not helpful and working for me to buy. I suggest they fix it. So I must say at this point dont spend your hard earned money.

After I bought Iphone6, I cant log in any more. I get a message informing a problem and asking to log later! I am frustrated!

Tried to use on boat. Did test runs first. Red arrow moves instead of charts moving behind it. Watched screen more than driving boat had to constantly zoom in and out. Crosshair thing is annoying. No help instructions. Could not mount phone and have arrow point to front of boat. If they cant fix dont buy. It is what it is, a secondary check for using charts. I will be buying a chartplotter. This app has turned me off the Navionics brand. Who cares about other peoples points. Im worried about hitting a rock and getting my family there safe.

No hydrographic information on any maps. Charting is annoying and not very user friendly. Basically a shell of an app. Total garbage. You would do just as well or better with the map app on your phone.

Great pictures on the preview. Its just too bad that its a childs toy that shows nothing close to useful detail. Google Maps saved me when this app couldnt locate me or even find my island on Lake Muskoka. Of course the fact that it also didnt have a record of Lake Rosseau or Lake Joseph shouldnt surprise me either. I want my money back please. Most expensive app I ever bought and the most disappointing.

Unlike all other iOS apps if you subscribe on an iPad you have to pay again to get on another iOS device. Want to use your iPhone for quick navigation no chance as the app wont appear in the purchases section of you Apple Store. Serious rip off.
